Stefan Riek and Henry Bischof founded their individual companies in 1990 and later merged to form Systema Datentechnik. They have been steering the company’s business ever since. As an integral part of the Neukirchen Group and the VIVAVIS network, we support our customers with bundled competencies. We are the partner the customer calls at 3 a.m. and receives IT competence.

After the Wende into the new age

The history of Systema Datentechnik began in 1990 with the independent companies of the two founders. At that time, the Internet was really new territory and many of our current tasks could not even be dreamed of. The technical world is turning faster and faster and Systema is adapting – but our company location and some of our employees have remained a permanent fixture.

Lone fighter

1990
Business license “for the operation of a computer and software service company” for Wernstedt GmbH Microcomputer-Systeme with the participation of Henry Bischof. At the same time, the company “Internet” is founded by Stefan Riek (“Internet EDV-System und Büromaterial Handels GmbH”). Both entrepreneurs found their company in Potsdam. Wernstedt GmbH starts small at that time with 3 rooms on 54.5 sqm. Stefan Riek can write his first invoice with the company “Internet” on 29.08.1990. A customer from Kleinmachnow buys 1 computer, 1 monitor, 1 printer & floppy disks.

Pioneering spirit of the 90s

1995
The newspaper headlines: “4 post-reunification pioneers of the EDP industry merge”. The merger of the companies Kommunikations Systeme GmbH, Wernstedt, Internet and Inda creates Systema Datentechnik. At that time represented by Henry Bischof, Stefan Riek, Ulrich Salewski and managed by Jean-P. Wernstedt. The new company building at Baberowweg was occupied with the employees, some of whom are still with the company today. Systema receives the first ISO certificate and is already ISO 9001 certified from the beginning.

The digital office

bis 2004
Since the merger, the focus has been primarily on service & support for Microsoft operating systems. Systema has served around 1,000 customers to date. The number of employees still fluctuates between 24 and 29, but the turnover of the past years has already been between 4.3 and 6.3 million €.

Growth

2005 bis 2009
The number of employees rises steadily from 28 to 50. In the meantime Systema, as a training company, also has up to 6 trainees in its team. Since 2007 Systema has been able to exceed the previous year’s turnover again and again – from 4.3 million to almost 12 million € in 2009. The first additional location is added in Eisenhüttenstadt for a stronger presence.

Systema conquers Germany & Switzerland

2010 bis 2014
Continuing on the path of growth, the team is also growing significantly. We expand the number of employees from 55 to 80. The turnover could be increased to 25 Mio €. Systema creates locations in Hamburg, Dresden, Bremen and Ettlingen and is now also part of the ids Group (now Vivavis) and thus optimally positioned within the group. In March 2014, Systema Datentechnik Schweiz AG is established as a subsidiary.

The 2nd subsidiary

2019 bis 2020
Systema acquires Communicate Consult in Markt Indersdorf near Munich in 2019. Since the end of 2019, Systema has been certified by TÜV ISO 27001. In spring 2020, construction work will also begin on the new building in Potsdam. With this, we are sending a strong signal for sustainability. The climate-friendly building made of solid wood is almost self-sufficient with the help of intelligent ventilation and solar cells. The ids group becomes VIVAVIS AG and Systema becomes a subsidiary of the Kajo Neukirchen group.

Future-proof

2021 bis heute
In March, the move into the new building in Rudolf-Moos-Str. 5 takes place, our small “Systema Campus” is created. At the end of 2021, 126 employees will have generated sales of € 45 million. We will continue to focus on growth. In 2023, Nuremberg will be added to the Systema map as a further location.
